Author Biographies

James Rice, University of Iceland

James G. Rice is a professor in Anthropology school of Social Sciences University of Iceland. He received his doctorate in anthropology from Memorial University of Newfoundland. He has since completed post-doctoral fellowships from NOVA (Norwegian Social Research) and the University of Iceland. His current area of research focuses on issues of child custody deprivation concerning parents with disabilities.

Hanna Björg Sigurjónsdóttir, University of Iceland

Hanna Björg Sigurjónsdóttir is a professor in Disability Studies school of Social Sciences University of Iceland.  She received her doctorate in Disability Studies from the University of Sheffield UK. She was a principal investigator for the grant of excellence “Disability before disability” project granted by the Icelandic Research fund.
